ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition characterized by developmentally inappropriate levels of attention, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior. It can cause significant impairment in daily functioning both at home, school and work.

It tends to be chronic affecting millions of children and adults in the US. It is substantially underdiagnosed, leaving the majority of those afflicted untreated.

Patients have traditionally been treated with powerful stimulant drugs, including Ritalin and Adderall. A less common, but highly effective approach, is to aggressively and effectively treat those who also have allergies, since allergies have been proven to be a direct cause of ADHD.
At Elite Allergy and Asthma Clinic, we are particularly well equipped to quickly and effectively eliminate their allergies and therefore their ADHD.

Our ELITE UNDER THE TONGUE ALLERGY DROPS, are the only way to go if fast lifelong relief of your ADHD is your goal.

How is ADHD Diagnosed?
ADHD is diagnosed by a clinical interview with a mental health professional who is trained to evaluate and diagnose. Most commonly, the assessment is performed by psychiatrists, psychologists or neurologists who are specialized in the field. Neuropsychological testing can suggest the diagnosis but not in the absence of one of these medical professional’s assessment.
What Causes ADHD?
The exact cause of ADHD has yet to be determined. While there are many theories, the consensus is that it likely involves the following:

Allergies
The overwhelming majority of those with ADHD have environmental and/or food allergies

Genetics
ADHD commonly runs in families, suggesting genetics play a key role in causing this condition.

Environment
The individual's environment may be a cause. One example of this is lead exposure during childhood.

Developmental Factors
Being born prematurely or to a mother who smoked, used illicit drugs or drank alcohol increases the risk for ADHD.
Do Allergies Cause ADHD?
The answer is absolutely! Studies have conclusively shown that allergy symptoms are directly linked to a higher risk of ADHD. Understanding this association and helping those with ADHD receive effective allergy treatments, such as our ELITE ALLERGY DROPS are key to resolving this frustrating condition.

Raun Melmed, MD, Arizona's leading expert on ADHD, recommends that all of his new patients undergo allergy screening and be treated aggressively if they are found to be allergic before considering treatment with prescription ADHD drugs.

A study published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology in 2013 found a direct link to a much higher prevalence of allergies and asthma in boys with ADHD symptoms.
How do Allergies Trigger ADHD?
While there are many theories as to why, an absolute cause is somewhat uncertain.  Most theories are based on the fact that allergies cause certain immune responses along with the production of certain inflammatory cells that pass through the brain. These inflammatory complexes impact the central nervous system to the point where children become more susceptible to psychiatric disorders such as ADHD. At the University of Wisconsin they are currently performing research, based on this theory, to determine if allergies cause dementia. It's quite amazing how mere allergies may “clog up” our thinking processes.

It's clear that in eliminating a main trigger for ADHD by successfully treating their allergies with the usage of allergy drops can be far more effective than covering up the symptoms with prescription drugs. Oftentimes, symptoms resolved quickly in the first few months of taking the drops and can be permanently eliminated in many cases, after two or three years of treatment.
What are the Different Treatment Options for ADHD?
Medications
Historically, prescription drugs like Concerta, Ritalin, and Adderal have been prescribed to help cover up the symptoms. This method of treatment requires regular visits to the medical professional’s office for follow-ups and prescription refills. Since they don’t cure the problem, they are typically continued for many years, if not the rest of their lives.

Immunotherapy
Screening patients for allergies and then treating them aggressively for them when diagnosed is a much more efficient and highly effective method for treating this condition.

Our ELITE ALLERGY DROPS (also referred to as Sublingual Immunotherapy or “Under the Tongue Allergy Drops”) are hands down the most effective method available for the treatment of ADHD. When all else has failed they rarely disappoint.

The drops directly address and permanently eliminate the underlying cause of the ADHD at its source, instead of temporarily covering it up with medications. It accomplishes this by teaching the immune system to coexist with allergies instead of overreacting to them which is what commonly triggers ADHD.

The process involves the patient placing tiny doses of the very things they are allergic to under their tongue from a dropper bottle. This they administer in the convenience of their own home.

Within a few weeks the ADHD begins to melt away, resolving completely within a few months, and being eliminated long-term after three years of treatment.
Can ELITE ALLERGY DROPS Help Improve Athletic Performance?

Most definitely. Elite Allergy and Asthma Clinic has found that the professional athletes treated at our offices consistently find that by eliminating their allergies we also eliminate the accompanying ADHD/ “mental fog” and chronic fatigue that is directly caused by their allergies. As such, we hear frequent comments from them on how they it seems as if the game has “slowed down for them” so that they can make quicker and more accurate decisions on the field of play with better outcomes.

Allergies and resultant ADHD, by nature, prevent pro athletes from being able to be on their “A” game. Not surprisingly we have found that their statistics improve as their ADHD resolves. As such, our Allergist refers to the allergy drops as a “legal performance enhancing drug”.

Our athletes, whether pro or amateur, simply call them indispensable.

Our Allergist here at Elite Allergy and Asthma Clinic is the nation’s leading expert with this amazing technology,  and has used them with great success for over 27 years, longer than any other American.
